Note 5: It was in the premises on Nørrebrogade that a editing room was
also set up, where Svend Methling's assistant, Henning Ørnbak, sat and
raw-edited the film, as the working copy came back from development and copying
at UFA's laboratories in Berlin. It was then Methling who fine-edited the
recordings, still assisted by Ørnbak. The latter also assisted Edith Schlüssel,
who from 1934 had been employed as chief editor at Palladium, and it was in
this capacity that she for a time acted as a negative editor on the cartoon
"Fyrtøjet". Later, Henning Ørnbak himself was responsible for the
organization of i.a. the Swedish version of "Fyrtøjet" (1951), and
later also of the French and English versions of the film, which, however, took
place in the capitals of the respective countries. Edith Schlüssel started at
Elfelt in 1917, then came to Nordisk Film and later Palladium, where she was
chief editor from 1934 until at least 1967. She has also been in charge of the
negative editing of a long, long series of Danish feature films during the
above mentioned periods.
