Note 4: For the sake of
clarity, it should be pointed out once again that it is a bit of an insinuation
when the cartoonist Frede Henning Dixner - similar to what is the case on the
film's subtitles and in the film program - is mentioned among the main
characters, if you know these understands the designer (Finn Rosenberg) and the
key animators (Børge Hamberg, Bjørn Frank Jensen, Preben Dorst and Kjeld
Simonsen). It is not known to me that Dixner has animated more than a single
scene in "Fyrtøjet", namely the one in which the soldier is seen as a
slightly clumsy and not very well animated silhouette, as he seen straight from
behind walking out on a country road, which is edged with willow trees. On the
other hand, Henning Dixner was an intermediate draftsman and later in the
production process in particular an excellent background painter. But to a
large extent he was a skilled amateur hypnotist who knew how to entertain the
rest of the staff with his astonishing sessions, and that could occasionally be
needed in the everyday jog-trot.
