Note 8: The technique of
versioning or "dubbing" e.g. a cartoon, is nowadays in itself an
advanced and complicated process, which, however, especially thanks to electromagnetic
audio tapes makes it possible to record or record dialogue, song, sound effects
and music separately. Yes, in fact, one often also records the voices of the
participating actors or singers separately, which are then later mixed together
on a so-called master band. The recording or recording takes place in a sound
studio, where the actor or actors 'voices' via headphones hear the original
sound of each scene separately, while watching the film scene in question,
either on a screen or a monitor (TV screen). After several rehearsals and when
the 'voice' appears ready for recording, the sound engineer initially mutes the
sound, after which the actor in question concentrates on getting the spoken
words to best fit the figure on the screen or screen. When recording a song,
the actor continues to hear the music from the audio tape via the headphone.
